On April 13-15, 2023, the New Mexico Association for Bilingual Education will host Land of Language and Culture. This 3-day, in-person conference is tailored to New Mexico Educators, Administrators and community members and will explore how a focus on place, equity, and social justice can help to grow instructional practices, build communications and partnerships, and sustain program design for bilingual children, their families and communities.
Calling all educators! Join us for one of this year’s summer institute or enjoy all 3!
Designed with your professional development needs in mind, this year’s institutes feature OCDE Project GLAD®, the AIM4S³™ Math Framework, and Translanguaging as a pedagogy.
Sessions are designed to build your understanding of these powerful frameworks, engage in student-centered instructional strategies for core content areas, deepen your understanding of how to integrate content and language to support English learners and emerging bilinguals, and provide a professional learning event to explore the effective use of translanguaging as an instructional practice.
